I went in to the user account administration and set the role (Registered Users) expiry date for a particular user to be less than today's date (ex: 08/01/2014) I logged out and then tried to log on as the user. I was able to continue to log onto the site using the same credentials. My expectation would be that I should receive a message indicating that my account was locked because my expiry date had passed. This was not the case. Why is it that when you set an expiration date for a role/account that is prior to the current date, the account does not get locked out?

Can anyone give advise on the best way to lock out an account (automatically without manuel intervention) once an account role has expired?

Thanks
