I have a site that runs only under SSL. However the email generated by the system for users to verify their registration uses the format

http://MyWebSiteName.org/default.aspx?ctl=Login...

I need it to be 

https://MyWebSiteName.org/default.aspx?ctl=Login...

the IIS redirection switches to https but does not pass the page name or parameters. So my questions:

  1. I have looked for the resource where this might be edited but have not found it. Is is in a resource? If so where?
  2. IIS forces the site to run under SSL because of this I have not indicated that any of the pages need to be secure. Would marking that the pages need to be secure change the url? If so what page(s) would need to be marked as secure.

Matthew,

The text can be edited under Admin :: Languages, open the language editor for your "Site" (not "System" or "Host" - this will affect other portals as well or might be overwritten by an update!), then navigate to "Global Resources" and open the "SharedResources" file. The text needed has the key "PrivateConfirmationMessage.Text".

Sorry, I cannot answer question 2 ad hoc - would need to fool around a bit, but I guess this is something you could do yourself as well (on a testing environment).
