Hello!

I have problems with dotnetnuke sites- Google can't find site by keywords, even by full name of site! Keywords are entered, and I can check it in page source. But what can be problem??

Hi,

Have you submitted the site to Google?  If so, have you given it enough time (sometimes two months or more) for Google to index it?  Even if you had the problem with web.config in some versions preventing Google from completely spidering a site (see here for more detail) you should still be able to search for the domain name itself and find it, if it has been visited by Google.

Have you got a Google Sitemap?

This it the easiest and most efficient way of ensuring your site is indexed by Google. There is a brilliant free module here for doing this (and if you not using SiteMaps or Google Analytics yet (both free with free DNN modules then shame on you   ;)

I also think that DNN is a bit of a smaller market, and hence Google may not assign such a high priority to DNN websites (relative to other web areas in Googles eyes).

The DotNetNuke Directory is immensely popular and has a lot of backlinks, and yet it has yet to be indexed. I have followed all the SEO guidelines and it's been live for almost 2 months too, so don't despair. I actually started a post on the Google Sitemap group, which got some very interesting answers and theories, but I'll have to find it and post it here later.
