I have a typical menu at the top of my site. With some drop down
elements.
I would like the main
that contains the sub menu items to be non-clickable. So that the choices the End User has is simply to select a sub item and not the parent.

How would I do this in DNN 7?

You would do this by disabling the page in the Page Settings. You can add a page in the Navigation in DNN, and then make it not clickable using the Page Settings for the individual page. If you do this, you would also then want to ensure that you don't have any content on that page, as it would no longer be accessible.
