Hello,

I set what I thought at the time was an IP filter that banned a specific IP range, however, when I walked away and came back 20 minutes later I was logged out and had an error saying my IP was not valid to login to the superuser account. I'm assuming I set a filter to only allow the IP range I input.

I have tried setting another user as the superuser in the database, but I still get the ip error.

Could someone help me out with this or point me in the right direction to learn myself? Please and thank you.

-Chris

you can open the IPFilter table in the database and delete the "bad" rule (you should have a rule with a * for IPAddress and 1 for RuleType -this allows all IP's). Note: IP address filtering will not allow you to lock yourself out as it validates the current IP - this would suggest you IP changed so please take care.

Thank you for the response.

I did what you said and deleted the bad rule, but it didn't change anything. The invalid ip still showed whenever I tried to login as a superuser.

I went ahead and disabled the ipfilter from the db which allowed me to log back in. The only thing is whenever I enable to ipfilter again, I still receive the invalid ip on login even though I haven't added anymore filters. It's really not important now that I can login, I just don't know if this will cause errors elsewhere in the future. I'm using version 07.03.02 if that matters at all.

Again, thank you for your help.
