Thank you very much for this information Sebatian, it is greatly appreciated. However, unfortunately we cannot wait 2+ weeks for the update to roll out these new Parent Sites for our client. Would it be possible for you outline the manual steps to manually fix this problem in version 7.4.0? We could follow your instructions to manually correct the issue within our client's 7.4.0 installation and get their new Parent Sites rolled out asap.

I haven't been involved in the fix, I assume there are properties exported, the Import is unable to handle (and Fails instead of ignoring it), sorry.

Cheers from Germany,

I had the same problem and what I did was:

1 - Create the new Portal with Default or Blank Template (because it wotks)
2 - Log in new Portal and go to Portal \ Portal Wizard
3 - Update the Portal with the Template you want to use
4 - Follow the steps and ... it's done.

The Portal is updated with the template.

Hope this help.

Cheers.

Joao.

Greetings Sebastian,

I created a parent portal and exported as site template and used it to create this new parent portal.

Main site: http://asbuiltcomfortcare.com/  portal site: http://www.ccinstallations.ca/

This seen to go well until I noticed that the blog posts (I am using XBlog from DNNGO) did to have the complete url.

This is how the url should look (notice the blog post title) : http://asbuiltcomfortcare.com/Contact/ArticleID/8/Dont-let-this-happen-to-you

This is how it looks on the portal site  (notice the blog post title is missing): http://www.ccinstallations.ca/News/ArticleID/51

I updated DNN to 7.4.2 and am using the a hosting installation of the blog extension.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Thank you in advance for your time.

Carmine
