One of the sites, running 07.04.00 (353), I support wants all the members to see one another’s telephone numbers.  I THOUGHT this was as easy as changing the Telephone field to Members Only in the Site Settings > Victim Account Settings.  The users are viewing one another’s’ profile via the Member Directory module.  No matter how I change the Telephone field the regular users see only *s for the various profile fields, including the telephone.

I am obviously missing something obvious.  How can I help these folks see one another’s telephone number?

 Thanks,
don

Don,
you may Change Default visibility, but actual value is stored per user.
You may use SQL to update settingvalue for all telephone rows in Userprofile in a batch

Thanks again for your help, Sebastian! I was missing the obvious point about the fact that I was changing the DEFAULT setting and not the current one.

As always, I appreciate your help.

I wish you a fun week,
don
