Hi

It's been a long time since I've been here, and many things has changed with dnn.

What happened to ActiveForums? is it still working fine? What happend to DNN xChange (Former known as DNN Q&A Module) is it still working? I can't find any serious pages about these too.

And what is the best forum right now?

Thanks!

Shai

Active Forums is alive and well.  Actually its about a week away from a major update involving another user interface upgrade.  IMO it is the best available for DNN but I'm a bit biased.  We have many things working in the pipeline right now too including native support for Tapatalk hopefully within the next month or two.

Most important thing is that it is actually being developed.  Sometimes what is shown to the public isn't always all that is going on, there are a few of us working behind the scenes to keep it alive.  You can find the module at https://github.com/activeforums/activeforums and the official website is activeforums.org (github has far more info than the website).

Hope this helps!

The best forum module is the one that satisfies your needs, therefore you have to compare. Active Forum has gone Open Source, but lost some features in this process (which were close source components that could not be included afaik).

You should also have a look at YAF.Net for DNN (https://dnnyafnet.codeplex.com/), this is a great forum module as well.

Happy DNNing!
