I want to make a copy of my live site and install it on my local machine.
I have copied all of the files in the portals/0/ directory and made a backup of the database.

Hi elvis

Instead of coping files to your local machine, take the whole database and project backup from live. Point the project from IIS with binding some IP.
Create new database from the backup. Specify that in the web.config. Now you can able to run the website from that IP.

Thanks,

Hi elvis

My hosting provider have a web application, which can help to produce site backup and database backup and to download it. It would be better to address one's request to you hosting provider.
To restore your site locally you must have some experience in system, database and web administration, however.
