Hi there, I have an issue where the Exceptions table in the database has blown out to over a gigabyte. Is it safe to truncate this table?

Indeed it is safe, you can use the following script hosted in codeplex:

http://dnnscript.codeplex.com/release...

Over a long period of time if one does not check Admin  >  Events Viewer, to clear Clear Log,

Exceptions happen very frequently when bots revisit old broken cached links....

Hi Andrew,

There is a way to cut down the entries for the event viewer...

log in as host the navigate to Admin > Event viewer, scroll down and click 'Edit log settings' , here you can turn on and off what is logged or not.

This will help to keep the table size down.

Hope this helps,

Regards,

geoff.

Geoff is wrong, Event type settings will limit the number of entries in Eventlog table, but there is no cleanup for Exceptions in DNN Platform or Evoq - only in my TurboDNN script.
