I'm seeing a strange problem with DNN displaying images in the child portals as well as in the admin/host menu when accessed using the child portal names.

This is how I set it up. Installed DNN in domain.com, and added other child portals like domain1.com, domain2.com and domain3.com. The images in any of these child portals say domain1.com are not displaying, though I can find those images in the images folder in Home directory of the portal. Also, I cannot see any images for the icons for Admin/Host menu when accessed via domain1.com. However, I do not see any problem when I access the site domain.com or the Admin/Host menu using that domain name.

I can't find any specific reason for this problem, and I'm also not seeing any specific errors in logs.

Any help is appreciated.

Note: for DNN website (portal) domain.com, a child portal would be domain.com/child1, domain.com/child2, while associating domain1.com, domain2.com to the same DNN website would be additional Aliases, while creating an additional DNN site with domain1.com would be another parent portal.

Multiple aliases for a single portal will display images correctly, if the image paths are relative, i.e. don't contain the different domain name, otherwise some browsers like IE might block these cross-domain images (you see the block icon at the end of the address bar and clicking it will display these images as well. This is a browser feature and not related to DNN.

Well, the domain1.com, domain2.com etc are added as portals as you mentioned. They are not child portals.  I accidentally mentioned them as child portals. I can confirm that the issue is not browser related as I have tried it in different browsers. The domain.com is not having any issues with images and they are loading fine.

The portals domain1.com, domain2.com etc are having different portal ID's. For example, for domain1.com the portal ID is 5 and the URL it is using is http://www.domain1.com/Host/portalid/5 when I login as host user and view the website in edit mode. I can see that the path httpdocs\Portals\5  in the server where the images are stored. This is exactly the same setup with the main domain 'domain.com' which having no problems with images. The domain.com is like - http://domain.com/Host/portalid/1 and I can see the path httpdocs\Portals\1 in server. Another problem with these portals are when I login as host and click on 'Host' menu or 'Admin' menu, they are also not showing any images.

As updated earlier, I can't get any specific details from the logs also. Any help is appreciated.
