Hello!

We're facing some issues after trying to mantain login on child portal with subdomain. So let's say there is a parent portal with mydomain.com domain set up as PortalAlias. There are also some child potals with subdomain1.mydomain.com, subdomain2.mydomain.com, subdomain3.mydomain.com.

All portals (parent and child portals) are a part of the system that should work in a way that login data is kept after login once on any portal. Is there any known solution for this problem? I personally think there is some problem with reading authentication cookie that was created on different (sub)domains.

Thank you for you time and help

Hello Joseph!

Thank you for you fast response. The use of 3rd party module was not a solution for us. After quite some research we've found a solution. In the web.config there are settings for httpCookies.

< httpCookies httpOnlyCookies="true" requireSSL="false" domain="" / >

Domain attribute is empty by default. If we want to share authentication cookie accross all subdomains, there should be .domain.com value set. So that all subdomains (for example test1.domain.com test2.domain.com) can read the cookie. After that login persists accross all portals, even ones that are on subdomains.
