We are a school system planning to use DNN as a public web site and intranet.  I am running into 2 problems with Active Directory.

We have 1 root domain in AD and a couple dozen child domains.  We are using mixed mode login (forms).  The problems are.

1) I created a group on the child domain (tcaps\wjh) - added all the users from that domain then added that group to a group on the root domain (tcaps).  I created the Security Role  in DNN and logged in with a new user.  The user authenticates but doesn't add to the Role.

Users directly added to the group on the tcaps domain get added to the role.  Any way to make this work?

2) It seems that users with the same user name but different domain will not log in.  If there is an xxx\user1 and a yyy\user1 the login fails.  However I can create 2 users in DNN with 1 AD account by using xxx\newuser and newuser@xxx.com.

I appreciate any input.
