Hi, I need to update the Privacy page text for one of our Portals. I've found where to do it (inside Admin>>Languages etc)  but when I do so, I get the message

"A File Operation Failed. Please Check Resource File Permissions So Files Can Be Edited." But I can't see where/how to fix the permissions for it ( Privacy /Terms) Can you help?

Thanks

Tom

please make sure, the ASP.NET account specified in the IIS app pool, your website resides in, has been granted full file system permission for the IIS website folder and all files and folders contained.

Thanks Sebastian,
Just to be crystal clear, should the name of the Application Pool of the DNN website in IIS, be added to the top level folder, and all folder/files beneath, in file permissions, with Full control?
The application pool is not listed at all in the file permissions at this point, but this is the only time I've heard that I need to do this. Is there any chance this could cause any problem?

Thanks again
Tom

the ASP.NET account should get at least write permission for the root folder of the IIS website and all content.
If you are using AppPool identity, it is a bi trickier than with Network Service (or another built in) account.
