My page order keeps changing. As in, the pages should be:
Home, Personal, Business, About Us, Tools & Services, and Switch Kit, and then mysteriously (with nothing hitting the event viewer) becomes
Home, Personal, Tools & Services, Switch Kit, Business, and About Us.

I was in the habit of reusing the auto-generated pages About Us and Contact Us because of the funny business with pages that have a "copy" in the recycle bin. But in looking at the changing pages, we decided to delete those pages and empty the recycle bin, then re-create them. Ok, but then why are the pages continuing to shuffle themselves after generating the new pages?

I thought the shuffling perhaps might have something to do with the TabID but I can't find out anything. Because when you search "pages, changes, order, et" , you get results about the wonderful page management tool in DNN. Not that it isn't great, but no one else seems to have this issue apparently. But nothing in event viewer. I did reuse the modules since I didn't want to type everything and pick containers again and again. But come on! Stop re-ordering pages so my client can see it, DNN....!

DNN 7.03.04

I picked this thread because I thought the auto-generated pages  "About Us" and "Contact Us" might have issues in the setup and configuration process and so, hence my problems. It could as easily go in general since I'm having issues with new pages moving around.

most likely there is a page with edit permission granted to "all users" or "unauthenticated users".
Please read http://www.dnnsoftware.com/community-... for details, it should be the same situation.

Front-facing pages are All Users - View only, and pages that are for admins do not have any All Users permissions turned on. I will send this article to my NA's but I don't know that that's answer. However, you always seem to have an answer, so I'm glad you're looking :D

I am not talking about VIEW permission, but EDIT permission for the page.

If you mean something other than the permissions grid, then I don't have access to that.
