Hello,

We configured a 404 page through Admin -> Site Settings -> Advanced Settings -> 404 Error Page.

So, the 404 page shows up for:

http://site.com/NonExistentPage.aspx

http://site.com/NonExistentParentPage/NonExistentPage.aspx

But, the 404 page does not show up in this scenario, it just loads this page - http://site.com/ExistingParentPage

http://site.com/ExistingParentPage/NonExistentPage.aspx

Is this default behavior? Are we missing anything?

it looks like you are not using Advanced URLs (in web.config file, replace "humanfriendly" by "advanced")

Hi, Recently we upgraded our site from DNN 7.1. In the process we converted from IFinity to 'Advanced URL' based on this article:

http://www.ifinity.com.au/2013/07/22/DNN_71_and_Url_Master

Should we remove the 'iFinity.UrlMaster'  entry from here? I see 'DNNFriendlyUrl' already set to 'Advanced'.

This is what we have in the web.config now:

<friendlyUrl defaultProvider="DNNFriendlyUrl">
<providers>
<clear />
<add name="iFinity.UrlMaster" type="iFinity.DNN.Modules.UrlMaster.DNNFriendlyUrlProvider, iFinity.UrlMaster.FriendlyUrlProvider" urlFormat="HumanFriendly">
<portals>
<portal portalId="0" />
</portals>
</add>
<add name="DNNFriendlyUrl" type="DotNetNuke.Services.Url.FriendlyUrl.DNNFriendlyUrlProvider, DotNetNuke.HttpModules" includePageName="true" regexMatch="[^a-zA-Z0-9 _-]" urlFormat="advanced" />
</providers>
</friendlyUrl>
