Hi,

I'm running DNN 8 & trying to implement a country based system using a redirect module. ie I have created a page call en-nz which becomes the home page for New Zealand vistitors. This page doe not show in the menu. Problem is that when a NZ visitor redirects to this page any pages off this page do not appear in the menu despite a setting of Include in Menu.

How can I get around this?

Thanks in advance.

Todd

There's a setting in each page that allows you to set it to either show or not show in the menu. As long as your skin/theme is using a default menu system, this should be all you need to do in order to show or hide it from visitors. It can also become hidden based upon permissions of the current visitor.

Thanks Will,

Aware of that. Question is does the heirachy need to be visible for its children to be visible?

en-nz is hidden

en-nz/pagea (needs to be visible)

en-nz/pageb (needs to be visible)

& so on.

Is this doable?

Regards

Todd

Hey there... It's not easy to tell what someone does or doesn't know unless they say as much. So I was just covering the bases, so-to-speak.

With the default behavior of the default menu system, you do indeed need to show the parent page in order for it's children to show. You can do so by having it be an anchor. Make it visible, but disabled. This makes the page one that can't be viewed (except by admins), but it will anchor the child pages to it. You could also modify the menu template to make it behave differently to fit your use case.
