I'm configuring a "Standard" folder type within my admin file manager and it appears that DNN is ignoring my respective folder permissions I define. I try denying access to All Users just to test the permissions and I can still view files (such as pdfs) within the folder as an anonymous user. My expected resolution is that if I am an anonymous user that is denied permission to view files in a folder, the site will ask me to login.

I see that there's a "Secure" folder type and I understand that it guises the real URL of the file so an anonymous user can't guess the URL. However, it is appealing for me to be able to see the raw URL of a file for readability and google analytics tracking.

Am I not able to simply modify permissions on a Standard folder type to prevent users from accessing documents within that folder? If not, what's the point of having the permissions on a Standard folder type? Is there an alternative approach to what I'm looking for?

standard folder means, that DNN is not controlling access by file path (url), only access using linkClick.aspx file handler.
please use secure folder, if access to files needs to be constrained.
