From what I can see on the web it's version 9. But somebody at my hosting company is telling me it's 7.4.2
I need version 8 or higher for a skin I want to use, but I DO NOT want the persona bar. I want the traditional admin/editing experience.
Please Please Please... if you don't have a precise accurate answer to my question above then don't reply. I don't want to be notified about replies asking "why don't you like the persona bar?"

The last version from the 8 series does not use the persona bar.

I wholeheartedly agree. It's a PITA.
I'm praying somebody will come up with a way of moving back to the top of the screen where it doesn't interfere or revert to the old bar as I cannot design skins with this thing. Why on earth does anyone think it a good idea to take up screen space on the left?
To test a skin properly and even be able to see it properly I have to keep logging out and logging back in again. Or am I missing something obvious?
Why does it have to disappear and reappear just because I clicked on edit.
Yesterday I had a situation where I had an error in the skin. No scrollbar at the bottom of the screen appeared. Module edit icons have been pushed off screen somewhere to the right and no way to get to edit text in an HTML module. Only have access to module settings no access to editing content. Why can't the module settings for HTML module allow access to editing the content?
I now I'm stupid and can only assume I'm missing something obvious somewhere.
Just seems to be a idea that has not been thought about at all. Seems driven by change than improvement.
WES F: can you elaborate please. There is no Host Settings that I can find in DNN 9.1.0.
I also not that once again creating a page that is a link to a URL and turning on "Open in a new page" STILL doesn't work correctly despite it being reported since 9.0.0.
BTW I do not have the skills to do this myself, that's why I use a CMS!
