Hi,

I've set up a site in DNN 4.0.2, and I've created a security role of "Editor",  when I assign pages to the security role they come up as editable to users of this role, but when I assign this security role to have edit on some modules on a page but not others it doesn't seem to work.  For example I have a page with a content area that I want users of this role to edit, but I don't wan them to edit the House menu which I've used in the right pane or the text in the header section.  I think I've set everything up properly, ie I've taken "inherit settings from page" off of the modules I don't want the user to edit, but it just doesn't seem to work.

What's more if I create a new page it works as it should when I add two TexttHTML modules with different security settings for this role, but as I add more modules to the page all edit ability for this user stops working.

Is there a document which specifies how to set module level security up so that it works reliably?  If not it seems to be pretty flakey in DotNetNuke.

Thanks,

Theo.
