Hi,

I have searched but not found what im looking for so far.

I updated all my site to dnn 9 last year and all has been good.

But its not the time of year that a lot of the sites hosting contract period has expired and switching to the default screen saying hosting has expired please contact admin etc.

I cannot find anywhere in the menu's to change the date and enable the website could someone please point me in the right direction?

thanks

Simon

Simon,

I don't know if you already resolved this as it is a couple of days old, however, there is (In My Opinion) a serious flaw in the DNN Framework, which is that when you set a Hosting Expiration date, it literally SHUTS DOWN the entire website PERIOD. You cannot log in or do anything AT ALL, even as a SUPERUSER.

Here is how to fix it. You must have access to the database via SQL Server Manager and run the following SQL script...

UPDATE {YOUR DB PREFIX}Portals
SET ExpiryDate = DATEADD(DAY, 1, GETDATE())
WHERE PortalID = {YOUR PORTAL ID}

YOUR DB PREFIX: Whatever Prefix (If Any) You Gave When Creating Your Website
YOUR PORTAL ID: Default Is 0, Unless You Have Multiple Portals On One Instance

After running the above script, you MUST RE-SAVE the WEB.CONFIG file (no changes, just open in notepad and resave it). This will cause the website to recycle and re-read the changes you made above. You will now have access for 1 day. Be sure to log in immediately and update the HOSTING EXPIRATION date.

Hope this helps!
