Hi, I have a production site and a test site running. These sites have different machineKey values in their web.config's. I have purchased an extension which I would like to have running on both test and production, but in order to acheive this, I need the prod and test machineKey's to be the same. Is it possible to change one of them to match the other?

Thanks

Tom

I should add that I'm running DNN 9.1.1 . From what I read, changing the machine key will break all the passwords on the site. So I wouldn't want to do that on production (maybe I could do that on the test server).
If I copy my production site to test server, will it keep the same machineKey, or generate a new one? How is the machineKey created?
Thanks
Tom
