I need some guidance.

I have a dotnetnuke 3.1.1 application that I have been asked to support.  I do not know very much about dotnetnuke.  I am trying to get the site running on my locahost but the page never loads.

I have restored the database to my local sql instance
changed the connection string in the web config.
I can see the connection being made to the sql server

but the page never loads.

Here are the things I have tried:

I have updated all the links in the url table to point to \\localhost\sitename\... from \\wwww.sitename.com\...

I have added entries in my lmhost to point www.sitename.com to 127.0.0.1

I have changed the entry in portalalias to point to \\localhost\sitename

nothing has helped.

I am sure I am going about this the wrong way, could someone please walk me through taking a production site and moving it to local host

I have done a clean install of a second dnn site at \\localhost\dnntest and it works fine.

Thanks
