I was configuring the DNN site homepage. I clicked on wizard, selected Portal and put in details of the new site. Then I clicked Replace to publish the site and replace the existing home page.

I lost the login page. Unable to log back in.

Cleared the cache, used the /default.aspx?ctl=login

Found the login page but when I try to login, it takes me back to the old page without logging me in.

My hosting company support team don't seem to be able to halp.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to sort this out.

Many thanks

I'm having the same problem.  I tried to change the host information for my main portal.  I did change the password, but left the "email" as the default word "host" on an oversite.  Since I made that change, when I click on Login, nothing happens, or its simply getting linked back to the home page.  So what happens if you lose your login page?  I'm locked out of the site now.  Pretty scary.

It's both scary and upsetting.

Can any of the more experienced folks in this forum please help us out?

Many thanks

This is a common problem.

There are a couple solutions here:

DotNetNuke Modules from Snapsis.com
