Silly me.  Not paying attention I uploaded a web.config from the wrong site and seem to have trashed the machine keys with no backup (okay, I *thought* I had a backup but it didn't work either...).  Host, Admin, etc all return as wrong password.  Any fix, other than reinstalling?

Thanks,

Jeff

Register a new user, then go into the DB to the aspnet_membership table and copy that users password and password salt to the user you want to know the password for.

This won't help you with all the others that can't be decrypted, but you could change them all and let them use password retrieval to get the new password.  Then they can change it back to whatever they want.
