I know it's not a major issue but i have recently been wondering why it can take up to 7 seconds for the homepage to load if it hasn't been accessed recently. There is nothing on there that should take that time as all other websites and pages I go on take under a second.

this is ASP.Net specific. ASP.Net compiles all pages on load and caches the result. After the site has not been touched of a cretain amount of time (default: 20 minutes), the compiled source gets recycled, and on next visit, the site will be compiled again first. Use a service like www.host-tracker.com or a server script, to frequently hit your site and the recycle should be prohibited.

Would there be any other way of turning the recycling off?
