I have recently upgraded from dnn 4.0.2 to 4.3.3 then to 4.3.4... For some reason now when I try to goto Admin>Lists I get the following error:

Error: Lists is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Unknown server tag 'dnn:commandbutton'. ---> System.Web.HttpParseException: Unknown server tag 'dnn:commandbutton'. ---> System.Exception: Unknown server tag 'dnn:commandbutton'. ---> System.Web.HttpException: Unknown server tag 'dnn:commandbutton'. at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ProcessError(String message) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ProcessBeginTag(Match match, String inputText) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ParseStringInternal(String text, Encoding fileEncoding) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ProcessException(Exception ex) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ParseStringInternal(String text, Encoding fileEncoding) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ParseString(String text, VirtualPath virtualPath, Encoding fileEncoding) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ParseString(String text, VirtualPath virtualPath, Encoding fileEncoding) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ParseFile(String physicalPath, VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ParseInternal() at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.Parse() at System.Web.Compilation.BaseTemplateBuildProvider.get_CodeCompilerType() at System.Web.Compilation.BuildProvider.GetCompilerTypeFromBuildProvider(BuildProvider buildProvider) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildProvidersCompiler.ProcessBuildProviders() at System.Web.Compilation.BuildProvidersCompiler.PerformBuild() at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.CompileWebFile(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultInternal(VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultWithNoAssert(HttpContext context, VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(String virtualPath) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.InjectModule(Control objPane, ModuleInfo objModule, PortalSettings PortalSettings) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I am trying to customize the user profiles, but it seems I am missing some sort of list control?

My guess here is that you didn't get all the dll's updated on the site. The dnn control there is part of webcontrols I believe and was only released in x.3.1 versions of the core or later.

I downloaded dnn 4.3.4 source and uploaded all of the DLLs in website/bin to the bin folder on my server.  No luck, I still get the same error...

DotNetNuke.WebControls.dll version = 1.2.1.21408

Trying to work around this I managed to make a list by accessing the database with a 3rd party tool and add it to the User Profile, but I get this error:
A critical error has occurred.
Could not load type 'List' from assembly 'DotNetNuke, Version=4.3.4.16944, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.

I don't know if I configured it correctly, but what I am trying to do is put in a custom dropdown in the user profile that loads from the list that i created...
