I run Active Forums on my site, and I know of several other hight traffic sites that use them, and I can assure that they are more performant then the core DNN forums.

I totally agree (depending upon what performant means)

I also believe that the support provided by Will and his team is professional and spot on- for supporting the forum.

So many other things are in play with DNN that it is plausible that something besides any one particular module (in this case, ActiveForums) could be responsible for what you are experiencing. I am not saying I have a solution for your issue (sorry)- but that blaming a bug in AF is, in my experience, unlikely.

Have you already ensured that you are running compatible versions of AF and DNN?
-edit- oops, just saw your stated versioning...

I run every 24 hours several tasks to reindex the indexes etc..

Hi Mariette,

The problem was in the AF tables and I've fixed them.  However, it seems odd to me that they went out so quickly after a few testers used the forums.  I'll see how long the tables are ok, and if they break again fairly quickly it will be time to look at the queries that ActiveForums is using.

Could you list out the tasks that you are running besides reindexing and defragmenting?

Reindexing is the only maintenance I do but ofcourse also the daily backups.
