Hi

I managed to connect to the database using SQL program, and removed the recently added user accounts (obviously not Admin and Host) but still the same prob. This was the dbo.Users, there are ones in the dbo.aspnet_users that it wont let me delete. am I doing the wrong thing?

Thanks

I'm still struggling my way thru learning basic SQL commands, but I find this morning that I have better luck running my queries from the SQL page in the Host menu.  Don't know why, but running the same queries from SQL Management Studio results in errors, while they work perfectly from the Host SQL query window.

Whether it'll help or not, I don't know, but try clearing the cache and reindexing.  Then go back and try deleting them in the aspnet_users.

Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in with better answers/suggestions.

Hi Rckla
I have no idea how to run 'queries from the SQL page in the Host menu' or 'clearing the cache and reindexing', but I have deleted what I thought was the problem users and now I have the Admin and Host left, as I was able to log in as them and unregister. but still when I go into the Users I get the same error message, ~
i can register as a user and edit those details once I’m login as them and when I login as host or admin I can look at the SuperUser accounts ok but I cant look at the regular users. When i go in to the LogViewer i get the following info on the error:

Hi Abbie,

Log in as host.  To clear the cache, from the Host menu, choose Site Settings, expand Advanced Settings, expand Other Settings.  Next to Performance Settings you'll find the Clear Cache link.

To reindex, from the Host menu, choose File Manager.  Below the file manager box, find the Synchronize Database and File System link.  If you have a large number of files, the operation may time out.  If that hapens, you'll have to make a change to the proper setting in your web.config file.

To run a querie from within DNN, from the Host menu, choose SQL.  There you can type or paste your query and execute.

Just a side thought....If you've logged in to your site under one account, then log in as another user (whether or not you log out in between), your browser still has the cookies from the other login(s) stored.  Try clearing your cookies, temporary internet files, and history each time you log out.  It's possibly the source of this problem.....maybe.

Good luck,  Rick
