Hi

Final two questions if anybody can help please...?

a) Where can I edit within the web interface the "common words" used under host/Search Admin?

b) Can DNN deal with those naughty F words and exclude the content say from the text/html module? Is that built into core?

Cheers and thanks!

Alex

a) I don't know what you are referring to here.

b) No, that is not a core feature.

Sorry I should have included more detail....

By common words I mean common words when used in a search. There is an option to remove them from the search to speed things up (I assume it's words like "and" or "or"; or is this something built into the SQL Server engine?

Is it possible to edit them?

Thanks for the replying...

OK I think "common words" in a search are actually SQL Server noise words, in SQL 2005 books online:

The noise word files are located in the $SQL_Server_Install_Path\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\FTDATA\ directory. This directory is created, and the noise-word files are installed when you set up SQL Server with the Full-Text Search support. Noise-word files can be edited, so, for example, system administrators at high-tech companies might add the word "computer" to their noise-word list.

Am I right here?
I assume this is implimented differently somehow on other non SQL Server data providers.

Cheers
