Does the hosting provider (shared hosting) should have installed DNN so I can use it, or I just can use DNN with any host that supports ASP.NET 2.0 and SQL Server 2000??

Some hosting providers have DNN configured for automated deployment upon request and others do not.

My suggestions are as follows:

  1. Look at the hosting providers that Sponsors (click here to view a list of sponsors) of DNN they obviously have vested interest in DNN's success
  2. If the Sponsors are not what you are looking for, look at DNN advertisers (again vested interest in DNN)
  3. Find a hosting provider that you like, that offers W2k/W2k3 and SQL 2k/2k3, and ask if they support DNN (most do)

I always lean toward sponsor’s fist since they are most committed to the continued growth and refinement of DNN.
