In Manage profile properties (Admin | USer Accounts Manage Profile Propeties | Add new profile property) the data type can be set to 'List'.  How do you use this?  I cannot see where you enter the list of valid entries.  Some other properties are alreadu set to lists - Country - for example - yet there does not seem to be any way to replicate this behaviour.

Thanks,

- Richard

To use a list in the user profile, log in as host, and create a new list (in the "lists" page) with the exact name of the profile property you created.

Thank you - a great answer and works like a charm for my case.

As a future suggestion I do think it would be nice to separate the list and the propety name.  If I wanted to ask (say) CountryOfBirth and CountryOfResidence then is would seem sensible to have the chance of using the same list of contries for each.
