Hi - I need to be able to access an IIS virtual directory from within File Manager in DNN 4.3.5.  I have set up a virtual folder under Portal/0/  but cannot see it through File Manager.  I really need this functionality to make it easy for users to load images that exist outside the web space on my server into a gallery in DNN.  The virtual directory I set up has all the required user access for IIS and I can navigate to that directory directly through a URL in a browser window, but can't "see" it from File Manager or the gallery mod.

There's got to be a way to do this - I tried to synchroniz in File manager as well as checking the recursive box and no go.

Please help!

Thanks,
Tim

Tim,

AFAIK this will not work, as the virtual directory is not listed in the folders item list as "folder". you will need to modify the core, adopt SynchronizeFolder in filesystemutils.vb

Not really sure what you mean by adopting SynchronizeFolder in filesystemutils.vb?  I'm pretty new to DNN and asp.net in general.  CAn you tell me what I need to do to accomplish this?

Thanks, Tim

Thanks for the replies Sebastian. I really need to get this resolved though.  If you think that this is beyond  my scope then could you offer a suggestion for me to get this fixed?  Are you someone who could modify the core for me or could you put me in touch with somone who could?  Please let me know.  Thanks, Tim
