I am wanting to setup a custom listbox, under the "manage user profile" page in DNN 4.  But how do I add options to the listbox once it has been created?

Login as host and go to the Lists menu. There you will see built-in lists for things like Countries, and can use them as a reference. If your new profile property is called "Items", then create a new list called "Items" (same exact spelling), then populate with list items.

You will see 2 values for each entry. One is the name that will show up in the list box, the second is the value to be stored in the database. This will be clear if you look at the list of US states.

Now the list should be populated when you view a user profile.

Hope this helps.

Anyway to populate a list box from a db table?
Also, how do you extend it so that the second list box is dependent upon the value of first response?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

jin
