Hello,

I am sort of new to DNN and I'm trying to do a POPUP window by adding the following HTML code into an HTML/TEXT module:

<a href="#" onClick="MM_openBrWindow('http://www.site.com','POPUP','width=200,height=150')">TEXT</a>

For some reason it won't work.

I was wondering if any of you knew how to acomplish a POPUP window in DNN.

Thank you in advance!

Marcos

This isn't a pop-up, but you can setup the hyperlink with the target=_blank attribute - will open the page in a new browser.

If you do find out how to make a pop-up, I'd like to know too :).

Thanks for your help! I already know how to make the link open as a popup window.  I am really struggling to make a pop-up.  I will keep searching and asking in forums and let you know.

I'm not sure what you are seeing that isn't working. In general, doing an Html pop-up in DNN is the same as ASP.NET without DNN. The only tricky thing (I think) is that the DNN UrlRewriter can make it difficult to get the Url right for your popup. You may have to modify SiteUrls.config to make sure the Url you try to pop-up works properly in DNN. Since we don't see th contents of your client function MM_openBrWindow it is hard to say what is going wrong.

We do something like:

function EM_LaunchPopUp()
{
 url = 'PopUpUrl.aspx?';

 var MyWin = window.open(url,'EmPopUp','width=360,height=244,toolbars=no,resizable=yes,scrollbars=no,status=no');
 if (!MyWin)
 {
  alert("Please turn off your PopUp blocking software");
  return;
 }
}

and the trick is to make sure the PopUpUrl.aspx is properly defined in your SiteUrls.config otherwise the redirector will eat your request.
