Is there a way to change the allocation of horizontal space on a page?  I would like to make the left and right panes a little larger and the center pane a little thinner.  It would be great if one could do this in the GUI.  I think the ultimate solution would be to allow the dragging of columns’ edges, like one can do in a spreadsheet.  I realize this would probably be easier said than done, but it’s a thought.

If you're using a "fixed-width" skin and want to change the amount of spacing on the left and right side of the page, then you will have to modify the skin's .ascx file.

For example, my wife's site:   http://kristentrudeauphotography.com is a fixed-width site and near the top of it's skin .ascx file, it reads:

<TABLE class="pagemaster" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">

<TR>

<TD valign="top">

<TABLE class="skinmaster" width="770" border="0" align="center" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">

<TR>

So you can see that by changing that "770" up or down, you can manipulate the bars on each side.  Is that what you're asking about?
