I have backed up the DB and files from a hosting server and restored to a local pc, and after some work have the site up and running on this local pc (localhost).  Everything looks OK except for one Xmod detail template and none of the Inventua-Side Menu modules work.  However the big problem at this time is when I try to login on the localhost site I get the following error message:

A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

The login page looks fine, just like on the server.  Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this?  Thanks for any help.
