Hi

I have created a site on my XP Pro machine and now when I try to access it from another computer using:

http://71.252.133.22/dotnetnuke/Default.aspx I get redirected to http://localhost/dotnetnuke in the address bar. What is happening here. All other websites on that XP works fine except this one. Is there some settings I need to change so that address does not change to localhost?

Thx

Saleem

I believe you needed to make two changes.

STEP 1

The first was to change the line in the web.config from:

<trust level="Medium" originUrl="http://localhost/.*" />

To:

<trust level="Medium" originUrl="http://{my server ip address}/.*" />

STEP 2

Open the PORTALAlias table in the dotnetnuke database.  Change the value in the HTTPAlias field to reflect the ip of the web server whenre DNN is installed.

E.g. 192.168.16.45/dotnetnuke
