Hello,
recently my host has changed the security level of the .NET environment to 'Medium Trust' as a mean to address security concerns. After that, I can't upload/install any new module, skin or container to my DNN. I always get this error message:
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissions.FileIOPermission, mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed. ---> System.Security.SecurityException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissions.FileIOPermission, mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed. at System.Security.CodeAccessSecurityEngine.Check(Object demand, StackCrawlMark& stackMark, Boolean isPermSet) at System.Security.CodeAccessPermission.Demand() at System.IO.Directory.InternalCreateDirectory(String fullPath, String path, DirectorySecurity dirSecurity) at System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory(String path, DirectorySecurity directorySecurity) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.SkinController.UploadSkin(String RootPath, String SkinRoot, String SkinName, Stream objInputStream) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.FileSystem.WebUpload.cmdAdd_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) The action that failed was: Demand The type of the first permission that failed was: System.Security.Permissions.FileIOPermission The Zone of the assembly that failed was: MyComputer --- End of inner exception stack trace ---
It seems that DNN needs a permission to write files somewhere and the system doensn't allow it. But, for what type of permmision should I ask to my host exactly?
Can anyone help me with this?
Thank you
Fernando
