I installed my DNN and have it somewhat working. However don't like the DNN_Blue and DNN_Grey templates. I somehow didn't get all of the default templates (Personal Site, portal, Small Business Site, Club or Organization Site) in addition to the DotNetNuke site installed. Is there a way for me to do that now that I've completed the installation?

I want to eventually figure out how to create my own skins but it looks like a long learning curve ahead.

Somewhat on the same subject, when I go to configure my site settings I notice that there are two radio buttons for Host and Site on the Basic Settings Appearance section. If I check the Site radio button then I get only <None Selected> in the checkbox. I want to have different settings for each of my sites so I don't want to use the Host settings. How do I populate the list for Site Settings?

Finally, are there any good books or tutorials that show how to create skins - preferably using C#?

Thanks,

I don't know if this will work, but try running the Site Wizard (Admin -> Site Wizard).  That gives you the ability to configure your site based on the default templates.

My understanding is that skins are built using HTML and/or CSS, not VB or C#.  Check out the "Make It Hot!" forum here.  Also, there are several sites that have tutorials for creating skins.  Here are a few:

DNN Creative
SkinCovered
Skinning Toolkit
ThinkOfDesign
