Remember password function...not password reminder!!!

After assigning a user & role... How does REMEBER password function work?
User will enter username & password should pop-up?

How do I get this function working?

It stores the information in a cookie on the users computer... used to work great but asp.net 2.0 sets cookies to expire rather quickly by default... maybe 20 minutes, maybe a few hours, I don't remember exactly. So unless you change that setting, and I'm not really sure where you do that, it's not very useful.

Hopefully someone with more details will chime in as this is all I remember off the top of my head.

In web.config set the Forms auth timeout to a higher value (it's in minutes):

So John, so that I can speak intelligently on this in the future, is this just a DNN thing that this started expiring so quickly? Or is a asp.net 2.0 thing? I'm trying to understand the thinking for a 60 minute default and security risks involved. To me it seems ridiculous to set a default value of 60 minutes, there might as well not be any checkbox.

So "remember me" only works for 20 minutes?
Are you guys serious?
My users are going crazy because if this... Does anybody have a working solution other than setting the timeout to 10080 minutes (one week)?
