Hi Guys,

For years I was with a hosting compnay that used SQL Server 2000.   I simply used DTS to copy over the database from my local machine to the remote machine (Host).

I have moved to a new host which uses SQL Sever 2005.   I have the option of working locally with either SQL Sever 2000 or 2005.

At the moment I use the default install of dotnetnuke on my local machine and then on my host machine.  Then it is my intention to work away on the local machine to build the site and then transfer over the db, update the remote web.config to reflect the security keys etc.

Problem:

As before I went to use DTS to Export from my local machine to Remote.  However it is bombing out at when copying over the tables  etc.  Something to do with views.

Has anyone got any quick quidelines for using DTS to copy a DNN Database from one location to another?

Cheers,

Colin
