I have a need to add a new portal to my site, and I would like it to be independently indexed by google (so that the % of certain keywords on the portal is higher than it would be if it were indexed with my main site). Do I need to make the new portal a parent, or can it be a child portal? If it is a parent portal, does it need to have a unique domain name, or can it use an alias like the child portal would?

Thanks!
Anne

If you want Google to look at them as unique sites then you need them to have unique domain names, which is a parent portal in DNN.
