I'm considering DNN as a CMS for our website. As I have never worked with CMS I do have a questions...

I would like a category of users -I can call them contributors- to be able to create/change the content of the website, but then, all their work would have to be corrected/verify/authorised (by another user with admin priviledge?) for final publishing on the website. How this communication between contributors and admin be done? Via email notification?

Is it also possible to restrict these "contributors" to certain area/section or pages of the website?

I have been trying to search for an answer, but have not found a solution or a module that can control the users and their permissions. Would really appreciate an answer or how people have solved this issue of user/controller. Thanking you in advance, and sorry for my english. Jean

even this simple publishing workflow is currently not implemented in DotNetNuke. There are modules, that support moderation, e.g. Repository, so the admin creates "steady" content of the pages (logo, general advises) and the authors are limited to add content to specific areas only (inside the already existing modules).

By giving users page edit permissions, they can also add, delete and move the modules around on the page and create sub pages.
