I can create page templates and add pages using them just fine... but how do I specify the page is not to inherit modules marked as "display on all pages"?

Let me explain:  I have four modules on my Home page that I've checked the "Display Module On All Pages" checkbox under the module "Settings/Advanced Settings".  However there are semi-frequent cases where I want to create a page that do not display these modules.  Currently, I create the new page and then remove the modules manually.  This isn't too bad, until I have to create a new section of the website with 10+ pages.

I thought that if I created a template and specify nothing in the modules node no modules would be added.  I even tried specifically adding blank module nodes, but still no success.

Here is a clip from what I'm currently using (this clip may contain errors as it's bits and pieces via copy/paste from the original):

<portal version="3.0">
  <description>Blank page template</description>
    <tabs>
      <tab>
        <panes>
          <pane>
          <name>ContentPane</name>
          <modules />
        </pane>
      </panes>
    </tab>
  </tabs>
</portal>

AFAIK, "display on all pages" does mean "display on ALL pages", sorry.

Thanks for the quick response.  I think it would be helpful if that Add page code would detect the <modules /> (empty tag) for a given pane, and use that as an indicator to place -no- modules in that pane.  What do you think?  Is this worthy of an enhancement request?

[Does anyone else think this is worthy of an enhancement request, or is it just me?]

AFAIK the current logic forces any module "visible on ALL pages" to be placed on any new page created - your demand is a possible enhancement for a future version.

Thanks again.  I'll make an entry in the DotNetNuke Bug Tracker (A.K.A. Gemini).
