Wouldn't it be nice if......
We have the possibility to set the skin for the portal and an admin skin in DNN.
Wouldn't it be nice to add the possibility to set different skins for the user roles / users that exist on a portal?
This would open up a whole lot of new possibilities....
Make the background red if you are logged in as host, create a skin with more space for content editors (nice for sites with small contentpanes) etc.
I know this is not a "small change", but I would really like it.
What do you think?

e.g I know t
here are possibilities to do this kind of stuff by adding VB script to you ascx page, I'm using this, but it would be nice if it would be part of the core functionality.

I'm not completely sure, but I think it would be possible to create a skinobject that takes care of this...

Erik
I think it would.
If I can do it with some VB in the skin, a skinobject should be easy (although I don't swich the skin, but change some classes in the skin)
But this was not meant as a feature for me, but for the community....
(I can be quite "social" if I really push myself  )
I think it would be nice for the average user if this kind of functionality would be available in the core.
(somehow it also seems quite logical to do to me...)
Of course I could also create a skin object and make it available...

I think the point i was trying to make is that i dont really see a use case for a lot of websites. If functionality is only usefull to a select group of users, i think it should not be made part of the core application...
