Where did all the skins go in 4.4? In 3.x there was a bunch of them!

You can still find them in the older packages and transfere them accross.

You could also ask yourself the question, whether they are necessary to be put in. As you can see in the 4.4.1. a large number of modules aren't installed anymore. Moreover, some have been left out because their quality is not yet good enough.

Having said that, I think it is a good idea to have a "skins" project along side the modules projects, in which some examples of "state of the art" skins are being provided to the community.

There are huge number of good free skins available by the community and you only have to Google it to find them. With so many approaches to the design or techniques in implementing or packaging them, It is not high priority to create yet another DNN project and increase the overhead of managing an already huge task.

Having said that, it DNN has a fast changing landscape and this may be reconsidered in the future.
