I've been struggling with this one ever since I started using DNN.

The SolPartMenu seems to be adding non-breaking spaces before and after my menu items, and I'm not sure what's generating these or how to get rid of them, save for removing all mentions of " " from the spmenu.js file, which seems to cause other headaches.

Any thoughts?

Alright, someone had an ingenius idea and this issue is officially taken care of. If anyone else is curious on how to virtually eliminate those SolPartMenu  s, just drop me a line.

SealClubber,

Can you let me know what your solution was? I'm facing the exact same problem, all my   in the rootmenuitemlefthtml attribute are rendered as "?" and I'm not sure what's causing it. I'd appreciate it if you could help. Thanks.

Actually, the problem I was having was a little different. I wasn't getting "?" characters, just non-breaking spaces (and the solution I was shown does not actually remove the non-breaking spaces, so it wouldn't help you much I don't think). Although I do remember seeing that "?" issue before on other DNN sites, I've never actually experienced it myself and from what I remember, a screen refresh took care of it.

Sorry I can't be more useful with this particular issue.
