There must be an easy way to do this. I have a main  navigation bar at the top of my DNN site. On clicking on a menu item this should lead to a page on the site. However when the page shows, I want a slide menu to be automatically activated  on one side.
Is this menu possible in ASP.net ? Where can I find a quick script  to use ?

You can either use one of the core menu's on the page that you reach,  You do need to configure it so it only shows the child tabs.

Alternatively you can use some of the third party menues that can do this as a module, Some of these modules are free and some you would need to purchase.

Thank you. Can you suggest a module that will do this ?
I am  not quite sure that you can have both top and side menu in DNN. And if you could, can it be possible to have one menu tree to the exclusion of others at same category level

You can set your side menu to child only.

Depending on which module, each has their own method of doing this. We use Inventua Side menu or Housemenu. However, there are some new ones availabale in snowcovered that I have not extensively tested but they too look promissing.

You can use Ciss.Sidemenu at http://www.dnn360.net , using an option : Select root: "selected Tab as root" and check "Hide if out of scope" check box ,so when you navigate to the page, the side menu shows up.
