Does anyone know of a good tutorial for creating DNN skins? I am after creating a custom skin but cant find any helpful resources to get me started. Maybe I didnt search well enough, any help appreciated.

Did you  read through the skinning documentation found in the documents download. That's how I got started and found it very helpful.

I'm in the same boat, but have found that both DNN books have chapters on how to skin. Now I just need to read 'em! Good luck...

Yep gone through them and created a skin look that I am happy with, however, if I upload a container and  try to preview it, I get an error saying that multiple controls found with the same ID and this causes the preview to fail. Not sure why this is happening, also, when I upload the skin, I get a server error saying that my controls contain code blocks ... Any pointers would be appreciated. Where am I going wrong?

I create the skin files as HTML and css...

You probably have more than one of the same control in your html. For example if you have two <id="contentPane" ... then you will get this error or forexample if you have more than one [TITLE]
